As a Project Coordinator, you work closely with our Project Manager supporting projects driving business productivity, efficiency, and operations through innovation and project management execution.

You will be involved with all aspects of delivery, focusing on tracking and reporting on portfolio status of multiple projects concurrently to our team and partners. You apply project management and analytical skills in Agile and hybrid project management environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Information Technology, is instrumental to successful outcomes. As you gain confidence and familiarity, you will manage smaller-scale projects.

Additionally, you will:

  • Support with discovery meetings, planning, scheduling, implementation, and roll-out of projects.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories.
  • Communicate clearly and hold accountability to make the most of meetings.
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and vendors, enabling you to gain a deep understanding of their business and operations, quickly.
  • Capture lessons learned, developing practices, then distribute to the appropriate audience.
  • Schedule project status meetings, take minutes and post to various repositories.
  • Create or utilize templates for schedules, agendas, checklists, etc.
  • Prepare, update, and manage documents defining business requirements, functional design, project plans, schedules, and reports.

What you will need for this role:

  • A related degree in Commerce / Management or Computer Sciences with a focus on Management Information Systems or Development. Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Preference is given to those with 1-3 years of experience in project coordination and reporting and/or process improvement experience.
  • Preference is also given to project management, change management, or Agile certification.
  • Ability to manage, analyze, and synthesize complex system requirements and work with a diverse group of business users and IT team members.
  • Strong evaluative and analytical skills.
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to hold accountability of internal and external partners.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships.

Cyber Security Analyst

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions; and identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems, and identifying and mitigating risks to our organization’s infrastructure and data assets.   • Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions in accordance with standardized best practices generically, and the security documents specifically.
  • Participate in the planning and design of security architecture, creation of security documents, and Business Continuity Plan & Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Research and recommend products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures.
  • Support development and management of the cloud infrastructure. Have an understanding of company’s existing cloud architecture and technology portfolio.
  • Documentation, and manage a cloud technology standards policy.
  • Cloud architectural design, development and assist in implementation of end-to-end cloud integrated systems. Develop and execute test plans to check cloud infrastructure and systems technical performance.
  • Maintain operational configurations of all security solutions as per established baselines, and monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Review logs, interpret implications, and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
  • Participates in investigations, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Report policy adherence, system performance, breaches or any other IT related information.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, with a minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft products (Azure, O365, Severs, SQL).
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into related issues, practices, and products.

Qualifications:

You will possess a related degree and extensive senior leadership experience. Preference may be given to a risk designation (i.e. CRM). The position requires comprehensive knowledge of financial institutions, including lending and risk assessment. You will bring extensive knowledge and experience related to risk mitigation strategies, AML, privacy, business continuity, etc. Strong business insight is necessary to navigate the strategic and operational requirements of the role.

 

Preferably, your related certification, such as CRMP, and experience will give you a head-start in the role.

Manager of Deposit Support

Reporting to the Manager of Retail Administrative Services, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and activities of the Centralized Deposit Support team.  You lead the administration of the deposit side of business and account related services, supporting your team to deliver efficient and accurate deposit taking and ancillary administrative services.

In this role, you are also responsible to develop and maintain policies and procedures related to deposit operations and ancillary services and monitor and report on adherence to policies and procedures as part of ongoing quality assurance.  You plan, organize and direct projects, and ensure high quality administrative support is provided to all Retail Service Centres of Synergy Credit Union.  You manage and resolve technical issues impacting service and support a wide range of supplier/service partner programs by creating exceptional working relationships with our partners.  This position also ensures compliance with legislation, regulations, by-laws, standards of sound business practices, policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Preference is given to two year related post-secondary program (Diploma program) with four to six years or related experience. An equivalent combination of education or experience will be considered. Must be a proven leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  The ability to work with various programs, software and technology is required.

Manager of Wealth Services

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and activities of our Wealth Services team members, in the delivery of Wealth Management Services.  Synergy Credit Union partners with Aviso Wealth who is a national financial services firm providing MFDA and IIROC dealer services, online brokerage, and insurance solutions.

You are an integral part of leading and inspiring a dedicated and compassionate team in helping our members achieve their personal life goals.  You will also participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual budget, and implementation of our long-term business strategy for Wealth Services. This position will ensure all Wealth Services activities are in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures, regarding the promotion and sale of investment products and services.

This position is based out of the Lloydminster Synergy Centre in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. We also have branches in Kindersley, Paradise Hill, St. Walburg, Lashburn, Denzil, Macklin, Maidstone, Marsden, Marshall, and Neilburg.  Dedication to our communities is a cornerstone belief of our Credit Union, and it shows.  Every year, our amazing staff is more than willing to offer their time as volunteers, on top of our financial and sponsorship activities.
