THE POSITION: The Recovery Specialist II will review and discuss collection activities with consumer, agricultural, and commercial lenders on loans in arrears and will manage and conduct resolution activities when required. This individual will ensure collection activities are in compliance with all legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. How does one do this? Glad you asked!
A Recovery Specialist II does the following:
- Initiates contact with delinquent members to discuss repayment plans and financial situations
- Reviews, discusses, develops and implements realization strategies on delinquent loans
- Prepares court related documents as required and provides resource to legal counsel
- Aids in the collection of rent, maintenance, and sale of foreclosed property
- Provides expertise and acts as a resource to lenders on collection activities
- Recognizes member needs and promotes and cross-sells credit union deposit services
- Assists in fraud mitigation activities
