What You’ll Do

Under executive direction, this role provides the vision and strategic leadership to facilitate the growth and sustainability of SCCU’s credit services with a focus on commercial and small business operations through all business channels. This position is responsible for leading and managing the credit operations to improve commercial and the retail member’s financial wellbeing while providing a rewarding member experience. This role supports the development and implementation of transformational service and drives the achievement of sales and performance targets in the Commercial and Retail team’s credit and investment operations to support the growth and sustainability of the credit union. As a member of the executive team the position has shared accountability for the overall health and effectiveness of the organization.

Senior Branch Manager

  • Lead employees through change with particular emphasis on change tools, processes, and collaboration with Human Resources as necessary.
  • Supported by the Director, Banking, make staffing decisions (hiring, promotion, and corrective action) and support decisions made by the Manager, Member Experience and Manager, Financial Services to leverage the talents of the branch team.
  • Build employee engagement within the branch team, develop plans, and take action to identify any gaps.
  • Develop and recommend operational plans, budgets, and staffing levels to ensure that the needs of the credit union are met.

  • A business administration degree or diploma.
  • At least 7 years of financial industry experience including at least 5 years at the leadership level.

  • Solid experience in consumer lending and investments.

Leader, Commercial Services & Business Development

The Leader, Commercial Services supports company growth by seeking out new commercial business opportunities which will promote profitability. This position is responsible for the development and execution of commercial and small business strategies and leadership of the team.
