Some of the key responsibility areas are to assist in the identification of areas of concern and seek opportunities to maximize return while maintaining acceptable levels of risk; ensure compliance with all regulations, bylaws, accounting standards, policies and procedures. This position is responsible for financial analysis that supports the financial reporting, business projections and budgeting processes for the credit union.
This position will be located in our Head Office in Canora. Not everyone can be a Financial Analyst. To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with:
Experience: At least 4 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (a financial services background preferred)
Education: Post-secondary education in finance, accounting and/or information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of or enrolment in a professional accounting designation (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred. A demonstrated on-going commitment to life-long learning.
Skills: You must be self-motivated, self-directed, take initiative and be a team player by displaying a positive attitude and lead by example. Must be inquisitive and passionate as well as have the ability to exercise tact, discretion, and good judgment with confidential and sensitive information.
