Reporting to the Director, Digital Enablement & Insights, the Manager, Cloud Solutions & Enterprise Security will lead our enterprise architecture transformation to a modern, cloud first IT architecture.  How will the Manager do this?  This will be achieved by leading the design, execution, and communication of Cornerstone Credit Union’s cloud architecture, network and enterprise security strategies designed to optimize cost and consumption efficiencies and to accelerate for greater scalability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Architect, implement and support initiatives to migrate to cloud first solutions.
  • Develop and lead the Data Loss Prevention program.
  • Architect, implement and support secure branch network operations.
  • Ensure IT security operations are carried out effectively.
  • Ensure all attack surfaces are covered and that the security posture of our cloud infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking IT infrastructure is solid.
  • Coach, mentor, develop and motivate a team of professionals and build a culture of empowerment and accountability allowing your team to meet and exceed member needs while helping to achieve credit union goals within all strategic priority areas.
  • Provide oversight to the security team that routinely completes critical security analyses including threat modeling, security scanning, security administration, malware analysis, secure database management/encryption of private data, etc.
  • Identify business opportunities and ensure member satisfaction.
  • Superior business acumen, combined with advanced technical skills on how to apply information to solve business problems.

What We Are Looking For . . . . .

  • A subject matter expert in processes, tools, techniques, and practices for assuring adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Science, professional technical designation or equivalent experience in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Cloud, network and security experience is an asset, including designing and architecting solutions based on client requirements. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar security designations would be an asset.
  • Possessing a strong knowledge of industry security frameworks and standards including SOC 2, ISO 27001/2, NIST, COBIT would be to your advantage.PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Security or other related certifications considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with IT project management, Security (NIST), Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to understand and assess stakeholder groups.
  • Experience identifying and documenting change opportunities, risks, and impacts across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization at the appropriate level of detail, both within IT and the business.
  • Build strong relationships with change sponsors and agents and provide coaching.
  • Experience formulating written business cases, communications, presentations.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, developing and motivating a team of professionals.
  • A self-motivated and driven individual able to take on challenges that are a stretch but not unrealistic.

THE POSITION: 
Reporting to the Chief Retail & Operating Officer, the VP Fintech Partnership Development will capture opportunities with fintech partners and create value by innovating products and services that customers from a broad group of segments can benefit from. Reporting to the VP, Internal Audit, the CUs inSync partners of Conexus, Innovation and Cornerstone Credit Unions are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The IT/Data Auditor is responsible to supervise, to support, and to conduct independent, objective assurance and consulting activities related to Information Technology (IT) general and application controls.  These activities are designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. Key to this position is the evaluation and testing of business process controls that rely on technology to ensure the organization and its data are secure from external or internal threats.  Audit projects must be conducted in accordance with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Mandatory Guidance, Core Principles, Code of Ethics and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). This position is also responsible for:

  • Conduct IT and IT-related audit projects within credit union operations following the Institute of International Auditors Standards. Audit projects may include reviews related to software application management, system development, management of IT and enterprise architecture, system security and any other services that rely on the organization’s technological infrastructure.
  • Perform proper planning to ensure adequate risk assessment (including fraud risk considerations) to facilitate identification of controls for testing.
  • Evaluate and test IT general controls, application controls, and business process controls to support internal audit projects.
  • Evaluate and test adequacy of processes related to IT Governance, and Data Governance.
  • Utilize data to support the development of audit plans and the timely identification of risk through the continuous audit process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the audit, which may include the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
  • Build and maintain a good rapport with clients throughout the engagements.
  • Develop meaningful Audit Reports with management recommendations supported by proper root cause analysis in coordination with the Audit team.

The successful candidate will be a team-oriented, community minded individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent or minimum 5 years’ financial institution experience related to Information Technology and/or Data Analytics.  A Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) designation would be considered an asset.  Along with proven skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Analytics/Research, the candidate will have a continuing thirst for knowledge and be a life-long learner. Technical Analyst

The Technical Analyst is responsible to deliver client support for the suite of Technology programs, products and services to clients including issue escalation and resolution management, and delivering training to clients and other users, including process and procedure creation. This position is responsible for managing relationships with key service providers, credit union partners and internal groups by maintaining the collaborative relationships needed with key suppliers and partners to develop products and services required to meet client needs, while ensuring a strong working relationship with business units and maintaining high service levels to clients for programs, products and services.

The Technical Analyst is responsible to provide effective leadership to multi-discipline/cross functional project teams and stakeholders by managing development for simultaneous, multiple projects from initiation to closure, working with the stakeholders to complete the project charter outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing. This position also acts as a mediator between vendors, stakeholders and team members and resolves issues and solves problems throughout the project life cycle. The Technical Analyst also communicates expectations, project milestones and status reports to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an Information Systems environment.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in vendor / service provider relationship management.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Completion of or in final stages of completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation is preferred; completion of the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® combined with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Related ITIL® qualifications are an asset for management of IT projects.

Position Mandate

  • Technical Solutions
    1. Evaluate organization business needs and determine how Technology Infrastructure can support those needs. Determine, develop and improve technical solutions in support of business objectives.
    2. Recommend the optimum infrastructure environment for new applications within normal corporate options, such as Azure, private cloud, traditional data centres or vendor hosted environments. Work with all stakeholders to confirm suitability of the recommendation. When a review of current applications and solutions for potential migration is applicable, follow a similar approach.
  • Public Cloud (Azure):
    1. Leveraging historical information, Microsoft, and MSP resources, develop and maintain reference architectures, documentation and procedures that are aligned with generally accepted Azure best practices.
    2. Take an ownership stake in driving the cloud roadmap, including laying out supporting setup and configuration necessary to support migration of applications for hybrid cloud environment.
    3. Design Azure solutions to optimize an appropriate balance of functionality, performance, cost effectiveness and security. Review solutions with security, data, and enterprise architects and consider their input for revisions.  Maximize benefits of Azure within design to the extent practical.
  • Private Cloud Hosting (Data Centre):
    1. Working with the vendor and internal security architects, develop and maintain reference architectures, documentation and procedures that are aligned with generally accepted best practices and hosting contracts. Determine SLAs and SLOs required to meet solution objectives and recommend business continuity and disaster recovery options.
    2. When Azure does not provide a clear advantage for a solution, design solutions for the private cloud environment.
  • Architectural Review:
    1. Implementations – monitor and review solution implementations to ensure alignment with established reference frameworks and standards.
    2. Migrations – assess current solutions and identify potential benefits and risks that would result from migration to alternative environments. Provide architectural guidance for any large-scale migrations.
    3. RFPs and Vendor Hosting – participate as requested with RFP processes and reviews of vendor hosting proposals.
  • Collaboration:
    1. Contribute expertise to forums such as the Solutions Architecture Group and Change Advisory Board. Collaborate with architectural counterparts on other teams, the Enterprise Architect, and senior management to work towards a common architectural vision.
    2. Mentor System Architects and recommend development approaches to improve their knowledge and technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science; a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
  • 7-10 years of experience with Azure cloud support or development
  • 7-10 years of experience with Data Centre support or development
  • Experience working in Agile work environments and projects is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in the financial services industry with an in-depth understanding of infrastructure architecture
