We are seeking a Full Time Commercial Account Manager II in our Kelowna area. The Commercial Account Manager II supports Interior Savings’ vision of sales & service excellence by developing valuable long-term relationships with members, pro-actively determining & fulfilling their commercial credit needs and ensuring verification of secure documentation.

Through strong communication and sales leadership you will develop, pursue and pro-actively manage assigned accounts, referral opportunities and external business opportunities. You will collect and compile information and analyze various reports and trends. You will grant loans to finance commercial activity. Recognize member needs and promote lending products & deposit services and refer more complex requests to respective Credit union professionals.

Your experience will assist you in maintaining the credit quality of the portfolio through collections activity, including asset realization and/or legal situations as well as assisting in the training and mentoring of other team members. You will also perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a diploma requiring 3-4 years of full time study or equivalent.

 Experience/Knowledge

  • 4-6 years of job related experience in the commercial lending field.
  • Working knowledge of the writing and adjudication of small business and commercial credit.
  • Incumbent must have his/her own vehicle and be willing to travel.

Senior Service Representative

As a Senior Service Representative, you will support the Branch Manager to provide day-to-day direction and support to the front-line team to achieve objectives, ensure operational efficiency to ensure SASCU’s Member Experience is consistently delivered. You will support the efficient delivery of sales and service by undertaking administrative duties to ensure branch services are provided in a safe and secure manner and provide front-line sales and service to members.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support front-line staff by being a resource and providing in-the-moment and observational coaching, guidance, and technical direction on all front-line products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Support with front-line staffing, training, and team development.
  • Take ownership of member concerns and resolve or support staff in correcting complex and/or difficult member service situations.
  • Perform Service Representative and Service Specialist duties as required to ensure prompt, professional service to members.
  • Undertake scheduling activities including administering the timecards and vacation schedule for the branch and front-line staff.
  • Oversee and monitor front line activities to ensure for the provision of maximum service levels and the smooth flow of work.
  • Oversee branch cash flows and other negotiable items.
  • Oversee and provide support to troubleshoot ATM, TCR, coin counter, and various other computer issues that can be resolved within the branch.
  • Conduct and oversee a variety of audit activities to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to create and support the annual business plan.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • One year of post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years’ financial services experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
  • Demonstrated sales skills and a solid understanding of credit union products and services, and branch and specialist roles.
  • A high level of comfort with technology and proficiency using banking software, desktop programs, and cash dispensing equipment;

Our Credit Union is actively seeking a Loans Officer Trainee/Loans Officer/Team Lead to join our team.

Based out of the Gainsborough Branch this position is responsible for supporting our members goals and operation related to all lending activities including consumer, agricultural and small business. They are also expected to be a leader in the branch to support a positive work environment.

The primary responsibilities will include:

Promote and maintain active involvement in the community.

Be a leader in the branch to ensure smooth day to day operations.

Conduct interviews with members to identify lending needs.

Perform annual reviews of risk and profitability, identify and monitor trends, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective members.

Identify and pursue opportunities to promote credit union products and services, review current portfolios to ensure members have proper financial solutions.

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable credit union policies, government legislation as it pertains to lending.

Support team in all areas including deposit transactions.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

Post-secondary education; plus a minimum of four to six years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Consideration of Loans Trainee position will be given with the right candidate.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your co-workers and members.  The individual will also have exceptional communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

The Controller creates an environment where the finance staff are encouraged to provide high quality service to our staff in a professional manner. They oversee the finance staff to ensure effective performance and results through coaching and development of staff to their full potential. The Controller performs the duties and requirements of Alternate Privacy Officer.

Network Administrator

The Network Administrator troubleshoots basic problems related to networking hardware, software, and ancillary equipment, including but not limited to all server-class hardware appliances, switches, routers, and other rack-mounted networking equipment. The Network Administrator coordinates the testing and installation of server-side software upgrades and monitors and tunes performance of server systems and ancillary equipment. The Network Administrator liaises with contractors and suppliers to resolve problems and/or to install software upgrades or enhancements. The Network Administrator works with the System Support Technician to ensure that support documentation is created, and updated as necessary, for all software applications. The Network Administrator, as part of the technology team, efficiently provides administrative support to all locations of the credit union and its subsidiaries.

The successful candidate should hold a minimum of Microsoft certifications and/or 5-7 years’ related work experience in the field of information technology, preferably in a financial institution or credit union, is desired. The individual should have, or be working towards, either an A+ and/or Network+ certifications. The individual should also have, or be working towards, a Diploma/Bachelor Degree specializing in Information Technology or currently enrolled in the program. The individuals exhibits a demonstrable knowledge of network administrative tasks, including strong trouble shooting skills over a multi-branch, virtualized WAN/LAN environment. A combination of education and work experience deemed appropriate to handle the assigned duties may also be considered.

As this position involves travel to all branches of the Bulkley Valley Credit Union, a valid BC Driver’s License with an available vehicle for use is required.  The applicant must either currently reside in OR be willing to relocate to the Bulkley Valley.
